MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITY:
•Auditing of SHE standards and compliant working practices across live projects
•Act as a SHEQ Advisor for the safe completion of live construction projects
•Support internal training courses, e.g. asbestos awareness as may be confirmed.
•Keep up to date with health, safety & environmental legislation and maintain current standards accordingly for Speller Metcalfe to demonstrate compliance
•Accident investigation across all live projects and production of initial report with full detail
•Development of new toolbox talks, “Red Top Alert and Blue Top” best practice information sheets and liaise with stakeholders
Secondary Responsibilities:
•Report to Directors on a monthly basis when required
•Liaison with HSE, EA, LA and insurance brokers to relay incident details when applicable after discussion with SH&S Manager and or EHS & Ops Manager with reference to SML Director’s advice.
•Maintain accident/incident and near miss details for calculation of AIR and AFR information
•Support the bid team regarding SHEQ questions
•Support company social value needs
•Liaison with subcontractors following poor performance
•Compilation of information for CHAS, and other 3rd party accreditation organisations
•Crisis management
•Support in development of project specific SHEQ documents such as CEMPs, CPHSPs and Fire plans
