About the challengeAs a Battery Control Engineer, the challenge lies in optimizing battery performance across its lifecycle. This involves designing and testing control algorithms that maximize lifespan and safety, collaborating with Motor Control Engineers to ensure seamless integration and efficient power management, and guaranteeing the battery management system adheres to strict industry standards and regulations. You'll also be responsible for developing detailed designs, conducting rigorous testing, and staying abreast of the latest advancements in battery technology to continuously improve the system's effectiveness.
Is this you?- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Advanced education or certifications in battery technology, energy storage systems, and microcontrollers (highly beneficial).
- Professional Experience: 3-5 years of experience in battery management system development or a related field. Hands-on experience with battery testing, characterization, CAN communication protocol, and failure analysis.
- Project Involvement: Prior involvement in research or industrial projects focusing on advanced battery technologies.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data, identify technical challenges, and translate insights into actionable solutions.
- Communication and Collaboration: Effective in conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and working in cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability and Technological Proficiency: Flexible to adapt to evolving technology trends and project requirements. Proficient in simulation tools for performance and safety analysis.
- Battery Expertise: In-depth knowledge of battery chemistries, materials, design, development, testing, and characterization methods. Expertise in evaluating battery cell performance and degradation mechanisms.
- Regulatory and Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations related to battery cells and energy storage.
