The experience you bring:
- Journeyman's certificate, Red Seal, or equivalent qualification
- Experience with on-road & off-road equipment in field & shop environments
- Desire to work in a self-directed mechanic role, in shop & in field
- Welding and fabricating experience is considered an asset
- Physically fit – heavy lifting required
As a working shop & field mechanic, you will be working closely with our Shop Foreman and Fleet Manager to lead SK shop & field activities, maintain positive culture, and to ensure that the right decisions are made on the floor to keep operations moving smoothly and effectively. This includes repairing, maintaining, and improving our fleet of equipment, to ensure our fleet runs smoothly and to maximize uptime for our field crews.
Equipment in our fleet:
- Heavy trucks, Cummins and Detroit
- Heavy trailer and super b flat decks
- ½ ton-1 Ton trucks
- John Deere Excavators
- John Deere Skid steers
