As a National Solar Asset Manager at our client, you’ll enjoy a stable office-based environment with minimal travel. This role offers the perfect balance between professional growth and personal wellness. Join our team to optimize our National Solar Program and drive strategic initiatives.
Your Impact:
- Oversee asset management and operations & maintenance (O&M) for a rapidly expanding solar portfolio expected to exceed 1,000 systems by 2025.
- Direct a team of Solar Operations Specialists and collaborate with Finance to craft effective operating plans.
- Design and implement strategies for identifying and resolving performance challenges swiftly.
- Manage the seamless transition from construction to operational phases, ensuring integration with monitoring systems.
- Reconcile production data with financial forecasts and contractual commitments.
- Lead the onboarding of new solar systems acquired through various projects, including redevelopments and new constructions.
- Continuously explore ways to enhance energy generation performance.
- Monitor financial outcomes and develop forward-looking forecasts.
- Cultivate a high-performance culture to support scalability and growth.
- Research and integrate best practices and innovative technologies for monitoring and O&M.
- Work closely with local Facilities Asset Managers to tackle site-specific challenges.
- Administer O&M agreements and recommend strategies that align with market trends.
- Provide data for sustainability initiatives and renewable energy credit (REC) programs.
- Participate in broader sustainability projects to support the company’s mission.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in solar asset management, particularly with large portfolios.
- Proven track record of leadership and team management.
- In-depth technical knowledge of solar asset management processes.
- Strong financial acumen, including budget management and contract negotiation.
- Experience in a corporate environment focused on customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally as needed.
