The DC Power Technician is responsible for managing the maintenance and operation of the warehouse equipment. This individual teams with the Technical Service Manager and multiple cross-functional departments to achieve the optimal functioning level for the company. The DC Power Services Technician ensures complete operability at all times.
What you will do:
- Maintain inventory of all supplies and making note of any damage goods etc.
- Receive and inspect all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders; process and distribute documentation with purchase orders; reports; documents and tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received.
- Maintains the warehouse, records area and stores area in a neat and orderly manner.
- Inventory all tools, spare parts, and equipment within the warehouse.
- Organize the warehouse storage of material.
- All recycle cables and wires 4 AWG to 750kcmil is to be stripped and recycled.
- Deliver all scrap metal, expose copper, wire/cables to the local recycle yard
- Test all new batteries accepted for battery replacement
- Ensure all new batteries have the correct date code.
- Assist technicians with battery installations, preparation and field service.
- Recharge all batteries in stock every 6 months, and recycle all failed batteries.
- Organize, palletize, and shrink wrap all defective batteries to be recycled.
- Remove warehouse trash when needed.
- Help to load and unload batteries when desired.
- Ensure a clean and safe warehouse for staff to work in.
- All other scopes of work appointed by the Service Manager
- Be willing to travel
Job Requirements:
- Ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly per day
- Commitment to maintain an organized and clean workspace to ensure efficiency and safety
- Strict adherence to safe work practices to minimize risks and maintaining a secure working environment
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a box truck
- Willingness and ability to travel as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Basic understanding of electric is desirable.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: range of $25 to $27 per hour
