About the Sales & Structuring Team
The Arbol sales team is responsible for the business development activities of global climate and weather risk solutions with clients and intermediaries. The origination activities leverage traditional existing distribution channels (including brokers and other intermediaries) as well as direct marketing of certain Arbol products. We are always looking for new products to add that would help our clients manage their risk.
About the Role
Arbol is seeking an experienced, specialized professional in structuring battery offtake deals to work on structuring and sales to energy clients. Arbol is looking for a candidate that is interested in playing a leadership role in the positioning of parametric insurance products within the energy supply chain to further the development of renewable energy generation capacity worldwide.
The company has secured flexible and scalable support from several global reinsurers, which offers a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial sales professional to engage with players within the renewable energy sector in offering innovative risk management tools to improve the risk/return profile of their respective portfolios and businesses.
What You'll Be Doing
- Structure battery offtake deals and weather (index)-dependent deals in the energy space
- Shape the sales efforts of the battery offtake product with large clients.
- Streamline the structuring process and document it sufficiently to allow the technical team to integrate the product into Arbol’s automated pricing bots
What You'll Need
- 10+ years of proven, hands-on experience in structuring in the battery space
- 5+ years of direct senior sales experience in a customer-facing role in the energy industry (renewables preferred)
- Professional exposure and working knowledge of the risk management framework existing in the renewable energy sector
- Willingness to act as strategic product lead in the renewable energy market segment and also interested in acting as lead originator with clients
- A motivated, self-starter attitude
