What You Can Expect
As the Power Marketing Intern, you will support power marketing and sales efforts targeting Corporate and Industrial (C&I) and utility customers to understand their renewable energy and sustainability goals. This position requires balancing a quantitative approach to evaluating risk with strong communication skills to explain renewable energy power purchase concepts concisely to various cross-functional stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:
- Support Power Marketing Initiatives: Assist the Power Marketing team in promoting grid-scale solar, solar-plus-storage, and wind projects, including bid evaluation, preparation, and creating presentation materials for customers and buyers.
- Market Trend and Transaction Analysis: Identify and analyze national industry trends impacting renewable development opportunities, and assess transaction details to identify risks and opportunities for optimizing project revenue.
- Power Sale Agreements: Support the negotiation and management of long-term power sale agreements with various customers to facilitate the financing and construction of new renewable and/or energy storage projects.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with ENGIE’s project support teams, including development, construction, operations and maintenance, procurement, finance, accounting, energy trading, and transmission analysis teams.
- Market Research and Data Management: Conduct market research, manage data and data rooms, perform competitive analysis, assist with marketing collateral, and provide various ad hoc analyses.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 2nd year undergraduate or graduate degree with at least a current GPA of 2.8 or higher
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Business acumen with an ability to prepare complex quantitative analysis
- Good interpersonal skills, with exceptional organization, prioritization, and time management skills, with a high degree of accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
- A desire to learn about renewable energy products and contracts
Additional Details
- The internship work term will be from January 2025 to May 2025
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Salary Range: $21.00 – $34.00 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
