As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for an Engineering Leader Renewable Energy (m/f/d) to join or team in Bremen, Germany (hybrid or remote).
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:
- Lead a team of 9 people to operational excellence in the field of evaluations and certifications (related to local and regional grid code compliance of power generating units, interconnection equipment and systems).
- Establish relationships with grid operators in the region and main countries in order to increase knowledge of their needs and our ability to serve them.
- Work closely with clients to assist them in meeting evolving regulatory standards for steady-state performance.
- Monitor and identify changes in grid codes regionally in order to drive necessary changes to maintain UL Solution’s competitive readiness.
- Ensure effective workflow by engaging with cross-functional leads and customers in order to understand scope of projects and technical needs in order to assign resources effectively.
- Collaborate with other subject matter experts and Principal Engineers to facilitate cross-functional requirements and support development of new evaluation programs.
QualificationsQualifications:
- University degree (equivalent to a Bachelors degree) in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or related field plus generally five years directly related experience in Renewable Energy.
- Lean Sigma Green Belt or Lean Leadership Training, Gage R& R experience or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to manage employee performance using performance expectations and goals and responding to employee relations issues; prior experience leading teams, ideally globally, in a matrix organization, is a plus.
- Ability to promote services to technical and commercial decision makers, owners, operators, lenders as well as to investors; strategic and commercial mindset.
- Strong customer focus and strong interpersonal skills to establish trustful relationships, ability to sell and to close orders.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Detail oriented and ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team spirit and proactive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills in English and German.
