JOB SUMMARY: This position is located in Point Reyes National Seashore, in the Division of Resource Visitor & Resource Protection. Open to the first 101 applicants or 11/14/2024whichever comes first. MAJOR DUTIES: Serve as the Program Manager (Chief Ranger) for the Division of Visitor and Resource Protection at Point Reyes National Seashore and the Northern Unit of Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Directs all law enforcement, wildland fire, dispatch, search and rescue, aviation, pack stock, emergency medical services, and radio functions of the park. Make decisions concerning recruitment, training, promotions, disciplinary actions, and separations. Administer law enforcement program at Point Reyes National Seashore, an area of both concurrent and exclusive federal jurisdictions, overseeing investigation activities, court cases prosecution/sentencing actions and coordination with U.S. Attorney's office and Regional Solicitor on cases and tort claims. Primary subject matter expert and advisor to the Superintendent and management team on all matters of law enforcement and resource/visitor protection. Represent Park on several multi -agency and multi-discipline teams and workgroups. Works with various organizations to achieve program goals.
