JOB SUMMARY: These positions are located in Acadia National Park, in the Administration Division. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for Acadia National Park is May-October but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: May 2024. Open to the first 100 applicants or until 12/02/2024 whichever comes first. MAJOR DUTIES: Leads work crews of eight teenagers by providing direction and instruction on tasks, tool use, safety measures, Leave No Trace principles, conflict resolution, and by building a positive group dynamic and maintaining group motivation. Maintains a safe work environment for self, coworkers, enrollees, and visitors through active hazard and accident prevention, mitigation, and education. Teaches interactive Resource Education lessons to youth crews; and assists with planning and leading recreation activities for enrollees. Responsible for enrollees adherence to park rules and regulations, and assisting with mitigating conflict and problem solving within the program.
