Sunbright Solar in Orlando, FL is looking for one solar technician to join our team. We are located on 6925 Lake Ellenor Dr Unit 400. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and engaged. We are seeking a Solar Energy Technician to troubleshoot, repair, assess solar systems, and collaborate with clients and internal teams at onsite locations.
Responsibilities
- Perform varying corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance for solar PV systems.
- Interact with customers on a professional level as part of a multi-tasking team.
- Perform onsite installations, repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Check and provide complete documentation to clients.
- Carry out site root analysis.
- Attend the conference and B2B meetings to assess new solar system technologies as part of a team.
- Apply root cause analysis techniques on all major and recurring faults.
- Investigate technical failures and prepare formal technical reports.
- Record keeping and management of spare part movements.
Requirements
- 2+ years of solar technical experience
- Degree in the engineering field
- Ability to work on rooftops and heights
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 35 kgs
- Willing to travel regularly including at nights
- NABCEP certification is a plus
- Working knowledge of power system protection
- Able to read and interpret single line diagrams and schematics
- Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of LV and 22kV cable, DC cable systems
- including fault location and diagnostics is an advantage
- Cable jointing qualifications and experience is an advantage
