What do you get to do in this position?
- Lead a multidisciplinary team on medium and large projects.
- Provide preliminary analysis and development of engineering drawings for energy solutions
- Work with solutions sales teams and potential customers to help qualify customer needs and potential energy solutions.
- Performing design improvements primarily to support upgrades and efficient solutions in conjunction with client needs.
- Providing engineering cost estimates and bid proposals.
- Managing project timeline commitments to customers and ensuring long-term client relationships.
Qualifications:
The following level of experience is required for this position:
- Senior-level expertise in one of the following engineering disciplines plus enough knowledge in the other two disciplines to lead a multidisciplinary team:
Power Systems
Control Systems
Instrumentation
Manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of progressive work experience or evidence of strong subject matter expertise.
- Senior-level experience leading a multidisciplinary team on medium- to large-scale projects.
- Experience working independently and covering the responsibilities of project engineering and technical expert.
- Experience with project engineering proposals, project development and customer presentations.
- Experience in the development of technical documents and drawings, in the preparation of material estimates for bids, in preparing requests for quotations and material purchase requisitions and in the technical evaluation of vendor offers.
Certifications:
The following certifications are required for this position:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Licensed as (or eligible for licensing as) a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with a recognized US/Mexican/Canadian association of professional engineers.
Training Requirements:
This position is required to complete (and keep up to date) the following training courses:
- Health, Safety and Environment Orientation (with refresh training required annually)
- Quality Management System
- Customer Project Process (CPP) and Document Control System
- National Electrical Code/Canadian Electrical Code
- Schneider Electric Electrical Standards
