Vestas have released an exciting role to join our Blade team as People Resources Manager ANZ, this is an excellent opportuity to join a dynamic team working with enthusiastic colleagues on a pivitol aspect of keeping our wind farms operational across Australia and New Zealand.
In this role, you will be part of the APAC People Resource Department, directly reporting to the Head of People Resources - APAC.
You will be indirectly leading a team of 60+ highly skilled resources, supporting both our Service and Construction business, with the supply of skilled internal resources to support and execute a variety of works, including Blade inspections and repair, Main Component repair and replacement, general Service support, Commissioning of new WTG's and other special project works.
Responsibilities
- Support the ANZ, and broader, Service Business in maintaining conditions that enhance team safety, performance and productivity
- Set strategy for future business needs, focusing on cost effective resource solutions
- Continually build, develop, maintain and lead the ANZ resource team
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and build strong relationships with key personnel
- Mentor team leaders and build succession in line with agreed strategy
- Ensure compliance with Vestas standards, processes and procedures, also obeying regional/country laws and regulations
- Submit and maintain financial budgets
- Recording & reporting on activities with a high degree of accuracy
- Drive continuous improvement through your team
Qualifications
- Technical or other relevant degree, and/or proven management experience within the wind industry, or similar environment (3-5 years)
Competencies
- Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities within, at times, a fast-paced and time critical environment
- Experience developing teams to meet business demand
- Ability to travel as needed, both within Australia and internationally
- Technical understanding/knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Safety and compliance mindset
- Ability to prioritise and delegate task as needed
- Understanding and intermediate user of MS Office, ERP (SAP) and exposure to Service specific software programs. Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Office suite, particularly Excel
- Able to inspire and promote great work ethic with own actions
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to participate effectively both individually and as part of team
- Ability to work in a time-sensitive setting/time critical environment
