JOB SUMMARY: This position is located in Biscayne National Park, in the Division of Facilities Management. Open to the first 100 applicants or until 11/13/2024 whichever comes first. MAJOR DUTIES: Serves as the facility management expert and member of the park management team to develop and implement management strategies. Manages Facility Management Software Systems for cost effective management of assets. Plans, schedules and directs work to operate facilities and assets at their most effective level. Responsible for the development and management of the maintenance division's budget, utilizing the NPS financial management programs. Responsible for development and implementation of projects, and development of alternatives for facility modifications when infrastructure capabilities cannot support mission requirements. Responsible for implementing environmental management systems for complying with federal and state regulations. Recruits and recommends selection of employees. Executes established work plans; establishes work schedules and priorities. Recommends promotions, reassignments and other personnel actions.
