JOB SUMMARY: This position is a Land Management Law Enforcement Officer, GS- 1801-11 working in Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey for the Division or Refuge Law Enforcement, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. MAJOR DUTIES: As a Land Management Law Enforcement Officer your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Detect, investigate, apprehend, arrest, detention, or prosecution of persons violating Federal or state law. Work and coordinate with state, local, and federal partners in performance of their law enforcement duties. Carries out activities to deter illegal or potentially harmful activities in violation of the following Federal and State laws and regulations. Responsible for developing, coordinating, and directing all aspects related to visitor and resource protection including preventive law enforcement, traffic and crowd control, emergency medical services, and search/rescue on the lands and waters. Coordinates activities with the Patrol Captain on all multi-jurisdictional law enforcement operations and investigations with other Federal, State, and local agencies, including all civil and criminal case investigations.
