Job Description and Duties
Under direction Staff Service Manager I, the District 6 Construction Task Manager Liaison and Training Coordinator is responsible for various administrative functions in the Construction Support Unit. This position does not supervise but may act as a lead. Occasional travel may result in an overnight stay. Duties include but are not limited to: Work as District 6 Task Management Liaison. Support and coordinate with District 6 Project Managers, Resident Engineers, Field Office Associates, and Construction Office Chiefs in reviewing, evaluating, and projecting the impact of project expenditures.
Directly responsible for working with District 6 Construction Chiefs, Construction Seniors, Construction Resident Engineers, and Construction Field Office Associates in presenting detailed information, guidance, and advice on expenditures on projects to meet with Task Management requirements. Analyze and forecast project data to advise District 06 Construction Seniors, Resident Engineers, Field Office Associates and Office Chiefs of possible schedule or resource deficiencies, functional workload peaks, or other conditions which may shift resource needs.
The incumbent serves in the capacity as an LMS Training Administrator, Session Administrator for the Division and Supervisor approval process. May be required to train other staff on the LMS administrative roles and responsibilities. Develop and manage the District 6 Training Plan. Manages and maintains the accuracy of course data in training catalog and follows established procedures for completing sessions to ensure employee training history is properly updated.
Act as the backup to the District 6 Change Order/Estimates Desk.

Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate: The incumbent must have a thorough knowledge of the Department's organization and its functional units in order to perform their duties and work under pressure to meet planned and contract deadlines. Must have knowledge of Departmental policies and procedures including, but not limited to, the Construction Manual, Standard Specifications, and Special Provisions. The incumbent must have the ability to analyze situations accurately, and take appropriate and effective action; deal tactfully with internal stakeholders, contractors, and outside consultants on a sensitive and timely manner. The incumbent must have the working knowledge of common office personal computer software, such as Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat, etc. Additionally, must be familiar with modern office methods, supplies, and equipment. Incumbent must possess excellent organization skills in order to meet deadlines to ensure timely project delivery and must possess the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
