Global Service Operations > Asset Performance Operations > Remote Operations Centers
Remote Operation Centers (ROC) is part of Asset Performance Operations function, we are responsible for 24*7*365 monitoring of our assets across the world. The team is truly global, culturally diverse and inclusive. Our key focus is to provide both proactive and reactive monitoring support to wind turbines and plant assets to ensure lower cost of operating our assets. The Special Projects department within ROC is responsible for operationalization of tactical and strategic projects for Global Predictive Monitoring department which is also part of ROC. In this role you'll be directly reporting to the Global Head of ROC.
Responsibilities
- Single point of contact to gather technical inputs and feedback from Global Predictive Monitoring team, VTO organization and Regional Service Stakeholders
- Perform detailed technical data analysis to identify improvement plans for quality of monitoring and operational efficiency
- Identify key failure modes that could have larger impact on DC/MW and work with key stakeholders including the subject matter expert within Special Projects team in creating the business case for monitor development
- Work with Product Management and Development teams in Service and VTO to ensure timely release of monitors
- Performing quality checks and user acceptance test (UAT) for monitors before a full release and document the findings for future reference
- Benchmarking the performing of newly released monitors based on alarms, notifications, site visits and service orders to drive continuous improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Electronics, Instrumentation
- Master Degree in Engineering will be an added advantage
- Certification in vibration analysis: CAT 2 or Cat 3 from a recognized certifying agency
- Experience in condition monitoring of heavy and rotary equipment
- Experience in working with Wind Turbines
Competencies
- Ability to use analytics to drive key success metrics related to yield management and revenue generation
- Fluency in English and have good communication, presentation skills
- Pro-active, structured, self-motivated, communicative, reliable, credible, open minded, ambitious
- Should be willing to travel abroad
- Six Sigma - DMAIC/DFSS, good understanding about application of various statistical tools in data analysis and problem solving
- Exposure to Condition Monitoring of Wind Turbines
- Knowledge on SQL,Python, Matlab and R is a plus
