Vestas LATAM is responsible for the sales, construction, and servicing of wind projects across the Latin-American continent, where Service Sales is a key area to deliver on Vestas' growth strategy.
The Service Proposal Development agent (Cost/Price anchor) will support the Service Sales activities in Vestas LATAM, with key interfaces into Global Service Commercial Management for Pricing, Costing, Value Engineering and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Service Sales KAM team to develop commercial strategies and solutions that will meet customer requirements as well as meet or exceed business goals.
- Work with Service Sales department team members as well as cross-functional departments to support the business development processes to effectively close sales transactions, including passage through various gate stages of the sales process.
- Supervise information, relationships, and inputs from WTG Sales, Service Sales, Operations, Engineering to produce customer-facing value-based solutions, proposals, and pricing.
- Evaluate written solicitation requirements and other relevant information to develop comprehensive, compliant proposal outlines. Develop proposal compliance matrixes, writers' guidelines, proposal plans, and other solicitation-required documents.
- Leverage knowledge of our market and Value Proposition, to position our proposal and commercial offer to win business. Visualize, optimize, and document value proposition in the proposal.
- Plan and supervise all proposal activities including project cost models, deal economics, guiding proposal tasks to close, and present commercial proposals to senior leadership.
- Provide leadership during the deal review process to ensure that all technical risk points, risk mitigation, and business risk acceptance levels are properly incorporated in the development of the scope, cost, and proposal wording.
- Coordinate and organize stakeholder meetings for deal status and deal risk meetings.
- Ensure compliance with the Global Service Sales Process and required financial approvals and due diligence.
- Focus on the improvement of the sales process, by developing and implementing solutions that will increase efficiency within the sales process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors' degree in business administration, finance, economics, statistics, engineering, or technical degree preferred.
- Experience in commercial sales and sales operations preferred.
- Experience in the energy industry and/or wind energy preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English is a must (verbal & written). Spanish is desirable.
- Expert in Excel including its macros.
