Job Description
Our team wishes to add the skill set of an environmental surveillance professional to its expertise. You will contribute to the operations of CIMA+’s Earth & Environment team in our facilites in Quebec. You will also need to commute sometimes between different construction sites both within and outside the Québec province.
Your mission will consist in supervising each aspect (technical, financial, human, etc.) of projects and perform related tasks for public and private clients for various types of projects (transportation, industrial, etc.), as well as multidisciplinary projects.

Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise environmental surveillance projects, including managing internal and external stakeholders and ensuring collaboration between them (clients, governmental authorities, employees, subcontractors, suppliers, laboratories, etc.).
- Ensure on-site environmental surveillance in the framework of construction projects (roads, bridges, watercourse restoration, bank stabilization, etc.).
- Plan and supervise field environmental work and construction site activities (inventories, follow-up, surveys, etc.).
- Coordinate and perform environmental characterization and impact studies, and prepare and submit authorization requests and permit applications for large-scale projects in various types of environments
- Carry out or supervise Phases I, II, III environmental assessment and environmental rehabilitation projects
- Write technical reports (impact evaluations, environmental studies, etc.) and environmental specifications
- Perform or supervise environmental compliance studies
- Participate in business development and supervise the team’s activities in natural environments and contaminated sites
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, engineering or an equivalent
- Knowledge of municipal, provincial and federal regulations
- Knowledge of environmental mitigation measures applicable to construction sites (road and others)
- Experience with municipal, provincial and federal authorization and permitting processes(Asset)
- Command of the French language and good writing and communication skills
- ASP Construction training certificate on OHS on construction sites
- Valid driver’s licence
