About you
You believe that humanity and businesses need to make a seismic shift in the right direction and want to apply your communications skills to help make that happen. At the same time you want to work in a friendly, collaborative and empathetic team delivering impactful projects for high-profile clients.
You will have strong Communications Consulting experience, delivering sustainability comms projects, ideally from within an agency environment, across multiple clients and sectors.
You understand the subtle difference of Sustainability Communications versus broader comms, recognising it requires an authentic approach, greenwashing awareness and acting as a critical friend for clients. Our Comms experts work side-by-side with our Sustainability experts in Carbon, B Corp and Reporting to provide deep Impact knowledge and deliver truly authentic communications for our clients. You will learn from our experts to build your Sustainability expertise, hone this approach and gain new skills and experience.
To be successful in this role you would need the following attributes:
Copywriting skills are a must (for report writing and messaging)
Project management of comms projects (overseeing delivery of a project, liaison with a client, collaborating with the internal team)
Workshops (hosting, creating and facilitating workshops)
Research experience (creating surveys, analysing data, developing a report)
Design management (managing designers to deliver design and digital projects. creative skills in design and video are a bonus)
Impact experience in social and environmental strategy for businesses (such as B Corp, Net Zero, sustainability reporting and DEI)
A qualification in marketing/comms/journalism is ideal but not essential.
Importantly, you love client work, doing multiple different comms projects, and working with teammates to deliver our services. You are a team player - you like a laugh, but are not afraid to graft. You are a student of sustainability, have plenty to offer, and know you have even more to learn.
You are action oriented, have a keen eye for detail and enjoy juggling multiple projects and priorities and just the right amount of time pressure to help keep productive and focused. You are a ‘people person’ with a knack for building relationships with a diverse group of people.
You are more excited by the opportunities of working for a young, fast growing, ever evolving, purpose-driven business than for a large corporate.
In your first 3 months you will:
Be introduced to your guide and mentor
Go through our onboarding programme with training across all our sustainability services
Join our weekly Personal Growth sessions and Friday lunch-and-learns on anything and everything to do with Impact
Begin working on your first client projects after initially shadowing the team
Location
Ideally you will be within commuting distance of our London office, attending the office (Spitalfields) at least twice per week.
