The Enivronmental, Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for developing and overseeing all aspects of the company’s environmental, health, and safety programs. This strategic role requires a proactive leader who can ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, reduce environmental impact, and maintain a safe workplace.
Essential Functions

- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential environmental and workplace hazards.
- Design and deliver training programs to employees on EHS practices and regulations.
- Lead the site teams to conduct regular site inspections and audits.
- Manage incident investigations and ensure proper reporting of accidents and near misses.
- Collaborate with management to integrate EHS considerations into business operations and planning.
- Oversee waste management programs, including recycling, disposal, and reduction strategies.
- Monitor EHS performance metrics and report on progress to senior management.
- Stay current with emerging EHS trends, legislation, and best practices.
- Develop and implement training programs.
- Maintain records in accordance with all regulations.
- Develop and maintain inspection processes and records.
- Communicate with leadership on areas of concerns and proactive solutions.
- Work with various PGT sites to establish consistent practices and policies.
- In charge of all workers compensation claims reporting, recordkeeping, reviews, and updates.
- Responsible for collaborating with management and staff on workers compensation issues.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required; Master’s degree desirable.
- Five years of related experience preferred.
Work Environment/Physical Demands/Travel
This job operates in a professional business office and/or home office where standard office equipment is routinely used, such as computers, photocopy machines, fax machines, telephones and filing cabinets. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer at times. Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times. Must be able to physically conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. This position may need to travel periodically, based on the needs of the business.
This is a full-time position, hybrid format. An occasional shift in hours may be necessary to accommodate the needs of the business. There may be occasional travel to other PGT sites.
