PURPOSE:
Seeking an experienced Environmental Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the effective supervision of all environmental activities including working closely with operations, maintenance, inspection, waste management, wastewater treatment and engineering functions to clearly manage and execute requirements and work practices. This position will manage existing environmental management systems in the facility related to operational and maintenance programs as well as targeted opportunities for improvement. Including air quality, tank management and environmental improvement projects.
KEY OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise the wastewater treatment plant and operators.
- Oversee LDAR, pest control, sampling and laboratory contractors.
- Complete and submit routine regulatory reports.
- Provide environmental training and support for both internal and corporate customers.
- Inspect various parts of the plant for environmental compliance.
- Provide Back-up support for Safety personnel.
- Ensure thorough spill control, clean-up, reporting and incident investigation.
- Participate on the Emergency Response Team.
- Utilize computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office, to enhance project efficiency and productivity.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:
- Bachelor’s in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, Physical Science or equivalent experience.
- Supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated Microsoft Office proficiency
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and currently 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher.
- Experience with firefighting, emergency response and rescue teams.
- Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certification helpful.
- Site-based role in Karns City
- Less than 5% travel
- Must be clean-shaven and able to wear respirators
- Must have Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or Physical Science
- Degree and regulatory reporting experience.
- 9/80 schedule after training is complete.
- 2-5 years of experience in regulatory reporting.
- Demonstrated experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment
