We are currently seeking applicants for our Lincoln, Nebraska office. Ideal candidates will have experience or educational background in environmental science, natural resources, or engineering, including basic knowledge of environmental regulations specifically related to air and water. Regulatory, industry, or consulting experience a plus, but not required.
Pay is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
Qualifications:
- BS in environmental science, engineering, or similar area of study.
- Working knowledge of air, water, and other environmental regulations at the local, state, and federal level preferred, but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently with basic Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Advanced computer skills including experience with air dispersion modeling software and design programs such as AutoCAD preferred, but not required.
- Professional demeanor and ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and continuously improve expertise in work-related topics.
- Availability to travel (<25%).
Job Duties:
- Evaluate applicability of local, state, and federal air and water quality regulations.
- Prepare for and conduct negotiations with regulatory agencies and produce relevant written correspondence.
- Routinely communicate with and maintain positive relationships with clients and coworkers.
- Prepare permit applications.
- Prepare a variety of technical documents, including compliance reports and draft permits.
- Calculate air emissions from various processes within a wide range of industries.
- Conduct regulatory compliance audits.
- Provide compliance assistance and liability assessment.
- Provide training and conduct presentations.
- Identify business development opportunities.
- Other duties, as assigned.
