The Summit is the Boy Scouts of America's newest outdoor adventure center, situated on 10,600 acres in the heart of West Virginia's New River Gorge Region. Focused on developing youth physically, mentally, and morally, our staff will assist in operations and programming that supports The Summit's Core Values: Sustainability, Leadership, Service, and Adventure.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Provide cheerful and helpful service to all Summit Bechtel Reserve participants and staff
- Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR Staff Handbook
- Train in and maintain a working instructional knowledge of assigned SBR position
- Help facilitate program sessions, including arrival and departure day logistics
- Any other duties as assigned by SBR leadership
Qualifications & Training:
- 18 Years old or older by start of employment
- Be or become a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America
Physical Requirements:
Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform
- SBR blue polo or BSA Field Uniform (Scouts BSA, Venturing, or Sea Scout)
- Shorts/Pants should be of the appropriate length/size/appropriateness for a Scouting setting.
- Shoes should be closed-toe.

- 10x12' Platform Tent; Foxtrot Base Camp Staff Area
