The Role
Frank & Eileen is seeking a Branded Environments Manager to join our newly formed Branded Environments team which oversees all physical manifestations of our brand. This position will focus on rolling out a series of partnered retail environments including pop-up shops, shop-in-shops and department store concessions. The Branded Environments Manager will take ownership of all phases of each project from ideation and research, scope definition and design development to construction or fabrication, installation, maintenance and where applicable, breakdown. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, comfortable taking initiative and excellent at anticipating needs. This position is hybrid, based in Frank & Eileen’s Los Angeles, CA offices and requires consistent travel. This role will report directly to the Head of Branded Environments.
Responsibilities
On every project you will:
- Support all preliminary planning including proposals, site visits, field measurements, photos and videos.
- Lead space planning, creative ideation and concepting.
- Create mood boards, sketches or drawings, floor plans and mock ups as needed to communicate design intent.
- Research, RFI and RFP potential vendors, suppliers or partners.
- Review and negotiate proposals to find the best team.
- Collaborate closely with creative, retail partners and fabrication or construction teams to ensure designs are feasible and align with the F&E brand, any location constraints and build capabilities.
- Source, order and track key brand elements of a build out including fixtures, furnishings, accessories, art, signage, equipment, supplies as well as other retail peripherals like packaging or marketing materials.
- Coordinate logistics, including travel and transportation, shipping, storage, equipment rentals, staff and crew to ensure smooth installations and breakdowns.
- Supervise on-site activities, addressing any issues promptly and ensuring installations and breakdowns run smoothly.
- Help merchandise, install key brand elements and style final projects as needed.
On a day-to-day basis you will:
- Make informed and strategic decisions to steer projects toward success.
- Work with internal teams cross functionally to coordinate all input, priorities and points of view.
- Join and, when needed, lead project calls, support seamless communication with all involved parties.
- Manage scope, budget and timeline to ensure our projects are delivered on brand, on budget and on time.
- Own the creative integrity of all project executions, ensure projects are executed at the appropriate level and cater to the customer experience.
- Draft, manage and file all project paperwork including proposals, drawings, vendor agreements, insurance updates or certificates, permits or other regulatory requirements.
- Work with finance, legal and leadership teams to create new or updated paperwork templates as needed.
- Help grow a roster of crew and vendor contacts in all major markets.
- Comfortable being hands-on and proactive: roll up your sleeves when necessary and be communicative about needing support when necessary.
- Represent the brand in conversation and collaboration, help to maintain and cultivate important relationships.
Requirements
- Comfortable managing a flexible schedule that includes consistent travel.
- Ability to work occasional after hours and weekends.
- Occasional packing, unpacking and lifting of boxes, trunks or bags as needed in-office and during installations. Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
Who You Are

- 5+ years of professional experience within interior design or styling, pop-up or experiential production.
- Proven experience producing cross discipline projects.
- Demonstrate an understanding of brand expression and brand value.
- Experience or interest in interior design, interior styling, prop styling or industrial design a plus.
- Keen sensibility for balancing product and brand needs, 3rd party retail needs, space constraints and overarching timelines.
- Strong understanding of construction and fabrication processes, with the ability to liaise effectively with fabricators, contractors and other vendors, as needed.
- Practical understanding of space planning including the creation and management of floor plans.
- Keen production management skills, with the ability to drive multiple projects from conception through completion while meeting required deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate and navigate all phases of a project.
- Proficiency in coordinating logistics and teams around a mutual timeline.
- Impeccable attention to detail, deadlines, and accuracy.
- Thorough and Conscientious - demonstrate initiative and provide complete follow-through on areas of responsibility.
- Resilient - comfortable and confident with ambiguity and autonomy.
- Proficient in Google Workspace Applications (Drive, Slides, Docs, Sheets, etc.) and AirTable.
- Must be comfortable sketching or providing mock-ups, technical drawing skills desirable.
- Familiar with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit or other design software, proficiency a plus.
Compensation
Salary Range of $90,000-$110,000
