Tasks
- Plan and realize the environment requirements of new solutions or changes in Foundry and energy related in Powertrain. Continuous optimization with the aim of achieving reducing the risk to environment impacts and the efficiency to energy consumption in long term scope.
- Ensure that project implementation quality, timeline control and supplier management meet the specification requirements. Deep knowledge of production process and technical solutions is requested. Coordinate the onsite relationships during the shutdown time according to installation plan to ensure that no influence to normal production.
- Energy targets management in Powertrain including calculating forecast and defining targets for energy and water consumption. Interfaces to Facility Management, BMW energy management (in BMW group) and all technologies in Powertrain, also be the interface for internal and external audits like ISO50001 and ISO14001.
Key Responsibilities
- Steer and confirm the environmental targets for Foundry (energy, waste and water) with technologies
- Organize and attend environmental related meetings and create new ideas to reduce energy consumption and water usage in Foundry together with other departments
- Calculate the export crankcase price of energy based on energy consumption forecast
- Coordinate with related department to conduct energy and environmental audits including environment (ISO14001) in Foundry and Energy (ISO50001) in Powertrain
- Steer overall environment and ES audit topics in foundry until they are all closed, and give feedback to the management circles
- Risk analyze of new projects and solution about implementation risk
- Planning and leading the shutdowns of project especially the main installation phases (CNY, golden week)
- Create new innovations and ideas to reduce energy consumption and water usage and to increase Sustainability in BBA together with other plants
Qualifications
- Master degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Organizational skills and assertiveness
- Mechanical and environmental background of energy usage and environmental impacts
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Fluent in English language
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Analytical thinking
- Willingness to travel abroad
- Independent way of working
- Project experience 1-3 Years
- In-depth experience in the foundry industry 1-3 Years
- Environmental and sustainability background in industry 1-3 Years
- Chinese government rules for environmental (energy, water) targets 1-3 Years
