We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sustainability Reporting Manager to join our Strategy & Corporate Development team. This role will be fundamental to the delivery of our sustainability ambitions at Domestic & General, and to demonstrate our committ to grow responsibly as a business.
Operating at a group-level, this role will be part of a small team who lead and coordinate sustainability initiatives across the organisation. The primarily responsibility of the role-holder will be to work collaboratively with functions across the business to produce accurate, high-quality sustainability reports and disclosures – enabling internal and external stakeholders to understand the material sustainability topics we are focused on, the progress we are making in these areas and the challenges we are working to resolve.
The role-holder will act as a Sustainability/ESG subject-matter-expert, translating the complex and evolving world of sustainability and sustainable reporting in a way that builds credibility and inspires action from internal stakeholders. Beyond reporting, the role will also lead various sustainability initiatives which seek to drive positive environmental and social outcomes and contribute to long-term value creation.

Key responsibilities:
Sustainability reporting and disclosures:
- The project management and production of sustainability reports and ESG/climate-related disclosures. Ensuring robust, timely, auditable and transparent reporting processes
- Data collection from internal functions and suppliers to enable consolidated sustainability and ESG reporting
- Producing and collating engaging ESG content, working with various stakeholders to ensure this is accurate, visible and impactful (for internal and external stakeholders).
- Researching external best practice and being proactive in bringing and implementing a best-in-class approach to sustainability reporting, regularly sharing industry trends and insights.
- Being a point of contact for internal and external ESG queries
Strategic initiatives:
- Support the implementation of our sustainability strategy, collaborating with internal stakeholders and teams to drive progress in line with strategic KPIs and reporting requirements
- Creation or improvement of ESG policies and standards, working across the business to ensure these are up-to-date, understood and embedded.
- Drafting sustainability business updates and ensuring the business is regularly updated on progress, blockers etc.
- Completing sustainability-related ad hoc tasks as and when required
Skills and experience required:
- Experience working across a range of ESG and sustainability topics as well as delivering high-quality sustainability disclosures in line with mandatory and/or voluntary reporting frameworks such as GRI, TCFD, SASB
- A working understanding of upcoming ESG reporting regulations (e.g. CSRD, ISSB)
- Proven track record of analysing qualitative and quantitative data and identifying actionable insights.
- Project management experience
- Ability to build strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders from various functions e.g. finance, operations, facilities, etc.
Beneficial but not essential:
- Experience using or implementing ESG reporting software and/or systems as well as implementing sustainability initiatives and/or programmes
- Expertise in developing and/or maintaining efficient, effective reporting processes
