The Experience
Joining the dynamic field of consumer health and safety at Colgate is a thrilling opportunity, especially as a member of the Classification, Labeling, Packaging, and Transportation Regulations team. Our devoted team is dedicated to ensuring the safety and regulatory compliance of Colgate Palmolive 's products, solidifying our reputation for reliability and excellence.
What role will you play as a member of the CBS EHS team?
Your role involves:
As a Classification, Labeling, Packaging, and Transportation Regulations Specialist, you will collaborate with internal collaborators to guarantee that our product transportation and handling meet international standards. You will be pivotal in maintaining up-to-date information on Dangerous Goods regulations and ensuring compliance with global standards.
Mastering and applying Dangerous Goods regulations for product transportation. Working with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure safe and compliant transportation. Assessing and classifying products in line with global and regional regulations. Ensuring labeling accuracy and regulatory compliance in safety data sheets.
You will also respond to internal and external queries regarding product transportation safety and regulatory information.

- Experienced in cross-functional collaboration with diverse business sectors.

- Ensuring data precision is crucial, so you'll verify transportation and hazardous material information to maintain consistency across different products and processes.
- Adapting to the changing landscape of consumer safety, you'll seek innovative ways to handle and communicate regulatory and transportation data.
You are a collaborator:
- You will support the Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs team by providing accurate data and insights.
- Work with internal teams to ensure that our transportation and hazardous material handling practices are robust and sustainable.
- Partner with external regulatory bodies and scientific organizations to stay informed of new developments and guidelines.
You are an innovator:
- In a constantly evolving regulatory environment, you'll develop new methods to enhance our compliance systems and chip in to the safety and success of our products.
What you’ll need…
- Master’s degree in a related field such as Environmental Science, Safety Management, Chemistry, Pharma, Microbiology, Biochemistry or a related scientific field is preferred..
- Proficient knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance tools.
- Strong understanding of classification and labeling standards and methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex regulatory information.
What you’ll need…(Preferred)
- Experience in the consumer goods industry, particularly with products that require careful transportation and handling.
- Familiarity with Colgate Palmolive's product portfolio and the regulatory landscape affecting our business.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
