Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental engineering, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in environmental engineering or related field, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
- Direct hands on experience with air quality rules / permitting.
- Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and maintaining the certification or willing to get certified.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before team members, peers and management of the organization. Fluent in English: Japanese as a second language is helpful.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometric functions.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability todraw inferences, reach conclusions, arrive at solutions, and make decisions based on available evidence. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
