The Work You Will Do:
This is an OPS Environmental Specialist I position that will work with the Submerged Land Environmental Resource Coordination Program and the DEP Regulatory District offices to accurately record and log State 404 applications and assist in compiling data for an annual EPA report, along with other Environmental Resource Permitting (ERP) duties and related tasks.

Pay:
$15.00/hour (40hrs./week)
Your Specific Responsibilities:
- Accurate and timely entry of required data and system information into agency databases and Oculus.
- Provide customer service via phone calls as needed.
- Create and maintain an internal tracking system for coordinating inspections and meetings with our stakeholders.
- Maintain and update data systems utilized for program management.
- Assist in the development of standard operation procedures within the Program.
- Meet deadlines requirement.
- Perform related work as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to understand and apply applicable regulations, policies, and procedures relating to environmental programs.
- Ability to evaluate, analyze, and interpret technical reports and supporting documentation.
- Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and leadership.
- Ability to interact with customers in a tactful and courteous manner.
- Ability to use personal computers.
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license.
Required or Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, and/or two years of verifiable related work experience, as described in this posting.
