Job Description:
The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to: ?
Guide, support and facilitate ownership, implementation, and improvement of EHS requirements including workplace safety, personal safety, asset integrity and management of health, safety, and environmental hazards.
? Assist and assure contractors’ compliance to EHS plan & program.
? Ensure implementation of the risk management process across the Solar sites locations
? Register, Record and compile all incidents in incident database, perform investigations, contribute to Contractors’ investigations to understand the causes and influencing factors.
? Manage EHS Performance Reporting and Assurance process, custodian of EHS performance MIS, scorecard, tracking of trends, analysis of EHS data
? Manage the tracking of EHS actions and providing input to management for status and closure update on actions arising from incidents, audits and EHS improvement plans
? Carry out and document routine EHS inspections and facilitate weekly, monthly management of EHS tours
? Plan and carry out routine site visits, EHS coordination meetings with all contractors, participate in routine coordination meetings with as O&M
? Ensure that Asset managers and contractors’ training and awareness programs are carried out as planned
? Conduct and deliver EHS Induction and awareness sessions
? Review Method Statements including risk assessments, JSA etc. and ensure that contractors involve workers in Job Safety Analyses
? Liaison and compliance of CGWA/Fire station with regard to self-compliance, Renewal of environmental requirements.
? Support implementation of improvement programs such as Golden Safety Rules, Emergency Response, EHS training programs, Safety Leadership, Safety Supervision Program, Worksite Hazard Management and control of work
? Actively participate in EHS audits, training and incident investigations
? Provide support for monitoring and evaluation of EHS related legal compliance. Requirements
? Engineering Diploma/Graduate with adequate EHS qualifications/accreditation
? At least 5+ years of work experience as EHS professional in renewable energy/power sector utilities/consulting firms etc. preferably having both onshore solar and wind experience
? Able to work with limited supervision and deliver results within challenging deadlines and under pressure
? Good interpersonal skills, analytical skills and emotional stability
? Experience in delivering EHS training, performing EHS audits and incident investigation.
