Job Description Summary
This position would require someone that works well as an instructor in shop/field & classroom setting. Instructor would need to help develop course content for courses within the, CMT , CST , CAB , and SST courses.
Duties
1. Teaches in various formats, various locations, and via various delivery methods. 2. Communicates clearly with students, other faculty, and staff. 3. Upholds the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement. 4. Supports diversity in all aspects. 5. Develops and/or teaches courses for which the appropriate credential is held: CST – carpentry field experience, advance framing, green building materials and methods CMT – management experience, estimating, planning, scheduling, safety CAB – cabinet design and construction design and experience SST – experience in sustainability concepts (especially within the build environment and/or energy fields) Instructor that has carpentry field experience in advanced framing & green building materials & methods. Employee should also have some training in sustainable technologies and building science. Lastly, this instructor should also have some construction management qualifications.
Minimum Requirements
1. Diploma in construction field, sustainability, or environmental science; 2. Two years field experience in subject taught.
Preferred Qualifications
1. A Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in building science related field w/ sustainable oriented minor or concentration. 2. Five years field experience.
