This position can be based in Sheboygan, WI; Springdale, AR; or Morristown, TN.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: As Rockline’s first Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S), you will have the chance to:
- Set the overall corporate EH&S vision and develop and execute an enterprise-wide EH&S strategy that shapes the future of safety and sustainability across global operations.
- Lead the global EH&S team (including site EH&S Managers) by establishing, sharing, and implementing best practices across all manufacturing facilities.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance EH&S performance, ensuring excellence and consistent practices at all sites.
- Evaluate and recommend security improvements at operating sites, ensuring full compliance with local regulations.
- Oversee internal and external EH&S audits and inspections by collaborating with site managers, customers, third parties, and regulatory bodies to ensure documentation and corrective action.
- Provide expertise and guidance on internal EH&S matters, including evaluating capital investments from an EH&S perspective.
- Develop and implement standardized EH&S policies, procedures, and training programs across the organization to build a consistent EH&S culture.
- Proactively lead risk control activities and ensure full compliance with guidelines and recommendations, acting as the primary contact with the insurance carrier.
- Be the primary contact for regulatory permits and reporting (EPA, DNR, OSHA, air emissions, wastewater, etc.) and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree. Environmental, Health, and Safety Professional certification preferred. (Certified Safety Professional, Safety Engineer, Environmental Engineer).
- Manufacturing experience, experience with environmental and safety reporting, 5 years’ experience as a site EH&S Manager or equivalent
- Ability to travel up to 60%
- Proven experience leading environmental programs in manufacturing, industrial, or similar sectors, with a focus on managing air emissions, hazardous materials, water quality, waste management, and energy use.
- Deep understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations (EPA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, etc.) and experience ensuring compliance.
- Experience working with regulatory agencies such as OSHA, EPA, and local environmental protection organizations.
- Strong knowledge of sustainability initiatives and environmental impact reduction strategies, including energy conservation, waste reduction, and carbon footprint management.
- Strong risk management experience, including assessing, mitigating, and managing environmental risks alongside health and safety risks.
- Strong computer skills – MS Office Suite / Office 365, Oracle Agile PLM, JD Edwards ERP, MS Power BI, Infor EAM, various web based software and services– like Visuant and Industry Safe, Site Hawk, and others – including state and federal reporting sites (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Knowledge of various monitoring/measurement devices used in both environmental and health/safety
