Description:
The MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) Specialist’s primary responsibilities are to help the Maintenance Manager with the administration of the maintenance management system, the spare parts inventory system, and the consumables inventory system.
Responsibilities:
- Management of the maintenance work order database
- Organize the plant supply stocks, recording inventory transactions, initiating purchase requisitions to restock plant supplies, conducting inventory counts
- Monitor and report machine OEE, down time and operation cost
- Manage and support tooling, fixture, instrument calibration, repair and warranty
- Participate and drive continuous improvement in cost reduction, machine OEE and output
- Support equipment team schedule, work orders, team shift and vocations
- Support others with machine/maintenance expertise and experience specific to various projects (i.e. lean manufacturing, 5S, cost reduction, TPM)
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct
- Support ISO 9001 activities
- Adhere to all environmental, health and safety rules and policies
- Conduct other duties as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bilingual in Mandarin (Chinese) and English. Will be working closely with vendors in China.
- Technical aptitude, understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic parts
- Ability to safely lift and handle parts or packages weighing up to 50 lbs
- Computer literacy with proficiency in MS World, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility in work hours
- Numeric accuracy and precision
