The Equipment Specialist’s primary responsibilities are the administration of the equipment management system, the production line equipment PM records, the equipment technician’s training schedule and records, the spare parts inventory, and the small tools and electronic parts repair.
Responsibilities:
- Management of the equipment PM work order records, assign PM tasks to team leads.
- Management of technician’s training schedule and records.
- Help organizing the spare parts stocks, recording inventory transactions.
- Help analyzing and checking spare parts inventory, consumption, maintenance cost
- Help monitoring and report machine down time and operation cost
- Help managing and supporting machine related procedures, work instructions, records.
- Manage and support tooling, fixture, instrument calibration – for soldering guns, and repair of label printer and strapping machines, and HMI and computer hardware repair on production line.
- Work on equipment technician working schedule and assign jobs, communicating with team leaders.
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct
- Adhere to all health and safety rules and company policies
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Technical or business Degree/Diploma with 3+ year experience in a similar role
- Technical aptitude, understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic parts.
- Strong work ethic, positive team attitude, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to safely lift and handle parts or packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in MS World, Excel, and PowerPoint. Previous experience with CMMS and inventory management preferred
- Good written and verbal communication skills, flexibility in work hours.
- Working knowledge of MS Access, Visio, or Auto Cad are assets.
- Numeric accuracy and precision.
