The Program Specialist supports the organization’s import and export operation, ensure trade compliance; Support Supply Chain special programs that unify and optimize supply chain functions.
Responsibilities:
Manage organizational trade compliance, develop Logistics systems or processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
Ensure compliance with all applicable import and export control laws and regulations, including ITAR, EAR99, ECCN and CBP
Closely follow US, international trade regulations, develop proper trade or import strategies, ensure trade compliance, avoid business disruptions, reduce cost
Support Import and Export classification and valuation
Coordinate Logistics, Purchasing and Warehouse to streamline Supply Chain operations
Create standard operating procedures and work instructions, provide training to team members; Identify professional development requirements and needs, develop professional training programs
Initiate and support Supply Chain optimization, continuous improvement programs
Evaluation Supply Chain operations through data driven models, conduct risk analysis and develop risk mitigation plan and activities
Initiate and support Supply Chain cost reduction projects
Support C-TPAT certification and validation efforts
Abide by the organizations internal and external policies, including occupational health and safety regulations
Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
Post-secondary education in related field
3 years’ experience in trade compliance (import/export)
Experience in supply-chain management, Logistics
Experience and knowledge of trade compliance
Knowledge of global trade regulations, import and export administration regulations, antiboycott regulations, sanctions administered by the office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and Customs regulations.
Excellent problem-solving interpersonal and communication skill
Knowledge of ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Office products
Flexibility in hours mandatory, able to work off hours, holidays and weekends
