POSITION DESCRIPTION
The EHS Administrator position will perform tasks designed to maintain documentation, records, training, and compliance in the areas of Environmental, Health and Safety. In addition, this role assists with implementing and maintaining Company safety systems, compiles monthly reporting, and performs various administrative functions in support of the EHS department’s initiatives and programs. The EHS Administrators reports to the Director of EHS and the Risk team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONISBILITIES
- Collaborates with EHS Director and Operations to develop, prepare, and implement safety and security policies and procedures.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records of various company EHS records.
- Prepares communications, data, and trends for our safety programs at each facility.
- Perform various administrative duties associated with EHS data management systems.
- Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
- Assists with compliance for federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, OneDrive, Teams, etc).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must clearly communicate directions and information and speak effectively before groups as well as individuals. Must have good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read, comprehend and act on simple instructions, write simple correspondence and work in an office team environment.
- Ability to prioritize and take immediate action on high-priority tasks.
- Ability to always maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Must have a valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
PREFERRED (BUT NOT REQUIRED) SKILLS
- Entry level training or certification in safety and security preferred
- Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency preparedness
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or Higher preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of safety administration support or related experience within a fast-paced environment; preferably manufacturing.
