BP REPT’s ultimate goal is to build a robust battery energy storage eco system, which includes battery pack manufacturing, battery energy storage system integration, battery recycling, and etc. We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic Senior System Engineer who enjoys being part of a tight-knit multidisciplinary team.
What to Expect
A key technical member of a cross functional team that focuses on evaluating, defining & executing battery storage opportunities with cutting edge technologies. You will be responsible for the execution of projects from the design phase through to commissioning, while participating all engineering activities to ensure successful projects.
Responsibilities
· Lead the integration of battery energy storage system (BESS) which includes DC blocks, PCS, EMS, etc. for commercial and utility scale projects. Provide system design and drawings for BESS solutions.
· Review single line drawings, communication wiring diagrams, and BESS system layouts.
· Identify gaps in scope and responsibility to ensure project success. This requires a comprehensive understanding of engineering, construction, and permitting concepts and rules of conduct.
· Utilize electrical/power systems knowledge to identify & drive solutions for large scale utility projects.
· Interface with internal customers (project managers, product engineers, sales team) and external customers (utilities, AHJs, contractors, end customers) to ensure consistent communication.
· Track issues and drive root cause identification and resolution with cross-functional teams.
· This is a diverse role where knowledge of basic design rules, constructability, permitting, utility requirements, and engineering fundamentals is expected. Expectations include a rock-solid work ethic and a strong team-oriented personality.
Qualifications
· BS in an engineering field OR equivalent experience/practical knowledge.
· 5 years experience as an electrical/project Engineer in at least one of the following: Renewables, PV, Battery storage, EPC, Generation system design, and Microgrid.
· Familiar with MV electrical system construction and design.
· Good understanding of power grid and electric circuits.
· Proved experience with SCADA, EMS, or similar grid control system.
· Proficient in relevant standards and electrical studies for utility applications.
· Experience with blueprint and CAD software.
· Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
· Excellent presentation and communication skills
