$10.00 - $15.00 Hourly

Event Support Representatives provide customer service & on-site supervision of client events taking place at Shelby Farms Park venues.

Position Summary

Duties + Areas of Responsibility

Open and secure facility before and after events
Direct and coordinate activities with food service and other vendors
Oversee basic needs & requests of the client during an event
Set-up and break down chairs, tables, stages, audio-visual and other equipment in accordance with client contract requirements
Explain & uphold policies and procedures for use of the facility
Respond to emergency situations by determining and implementing appropriate procedures
Inspect facility before, during and after function for cleanliness and safety, touch up areas as needed
Produce event reports, noting any significant problems
Work within reservation software to review information and book new clients
Answer phones & take detailed messages for Staff within reservation software
Assist with additional events and S+E special projects, as needed

Ability to set-up and troubleshoot basic audio-visual equipment
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to deal patiently with problems and complaints, and resolve conflicts in a professional tactful manner
Ability to remain courteous when faced with difficult situations / people
Organized and attention to details

Physical Requirements

Physical ability to perform tasks outside in extreme conditions (heat, cold, inclement weather)
Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
