Production Shift Supervisor Job Purpose: The production shift supervisor is responsible for managing shift employees within a specified manufacturing department. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
Production Shift Supervisor Job Duties:
· Manage the activities of the production floor, under the direction of the business unit manager and follow established procedures and approved processes.
· Supervise departmental production operations.
· Strictly follow the process parameters specified by the process engineers.
· Organize the team to meet production targets per production schedule.
· Ensure the products meet quality standards.
· Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental shift activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion.
· Monitor the condition of production equipment, coordinate repairs with maintenance technicians.
· Ensure the completion of the operators’ portion of equipment maintenance as specified by the maintenance department.
· Complete and provide daily reports regarding Safety, Quality, product quantity and types.
· Cooperating with HR and the production manager to train, monitor, develop and discipline team members.
· Maintain a clean and organized production floor.
- Accept and complete any other relevant tasks assigned by the Company.
Education / Training:
· Associate Degree required
· Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred
· 5 - 7 Years of experience within a manufacturing environment required
· 3 – 5 Years previous supervisory experience strongly preferred

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- This job is performed under some temperature extremes, elevated platforms, and some hazardous conditions.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
