Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Solar Technician with experience in photovoltaic (PV) systems to join our team in Norcross, GA. This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar systems, ensuring that they operate at maximum efficiency. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience as a Field Service Technician in the solar industry, with a strong understanding of PV systems and components. This position offers a competitive salary based on experience, ranging from $65,000 to $80,000, with minimal travel required.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of photovoltaic (PV) systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on solar panels, inverters, and other system components.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to electrical and mechanical components of solar systems.
Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize system performance and implement upgrades.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations during installations and maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, including reports on system performance, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
Provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal teams as needed.
Participate in on-site training and stay updated on industry advancements and best practices.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Field Service Technician with a focus on photovoltaic (PV) systems.
Strong understanding of solar energy systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical components related to PV systems.
Ability to work independently and solve technical problems efficiently.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Familiarity with safety protocols and industry regulations related to solar energy.
Valid driver's license and the ability to work at various sites within the Norcross, GA area.
NABCEP certification or equivalent is a plus.
