MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS -
- High School diploma or equivalent
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE –
Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment, capacities limitations, theories of operation and operating procedures. Safe use of tools, plant safety rules, probable causes of equipment and systems malfunctions. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and signs and signals. Basic knowledge of electrical test equipment and troubleshooting. Basic to intermediate computer skills in word-processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS -
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions; procedure manuals; prints and engineering data; interpret charts, graphs and gauge scales; troubleshoot equipment and system problems; and interface with others. Have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, ability to use a radio, and be able to speak effectively before groups of people
REASONING ABILITY & DECISION-MAKING SKILLS -
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS -
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The team member is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member must be able lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Required to work a rotating shift with normal shifts up to 12 hours per day and will be required to work alone during night shifts and weekends. Overtime required as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT -
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly exposed to hazards of an operating power plant. The team member is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, high voltage equipment, and outside weather conditions. The team member is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme heat; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud on occasion can be very loud.

The posted compensation is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. This salary range may also be modified in the future, depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
