Overview
This role is responsible for running and scaling a $15M+ Professional Services business focused on the energy sector in the EUROPE/AFRICA region. Top of mind will be cultivating a culture of initiative-taking and scaling high-quality services sales and delivery to EUROPE/AFRICA customers. This role has P&L responsibility as well as revenue targets and other KPIs for the EUROPE/AFRICA region as well as supporting global implementations. There is a team on the ground delivering services today and a key remit of this role is to grow that team to meet expanding local demand so people management, including recruiting, retention, and employee engagement is also important.
Responsibilities
- Running a $15M+ annual professional services business with significant growth opportunities involving multiple solutions driving successful project deliveries across the EC, PE&R and DaWinci product sets today, and legacy Quorum solution sets in the future
- Drive quality, customer satisfaction, and consistency across customer projects
- Grow, manage, and lead a high performing team of employees and contractors
- Hitting revenue, margin, and CSAT targets for the services business
- Forecasting the services revenues with a 2% accuracy target with no surprises at quarter end
- Manage customer satisfaction across software implementation projects including managing relationships with Customer leadership
- Working effectively with Sales and prospects to effectively solution and win quality business in a timely fashion
- Long-term planning to ensure Europe/Africa needs are met for existing and new customers
- Effectively staffing the right skills to the right opportunities and projects to fulfill customer demand
- Responsible for overall talent in market segment, including both the recruitment and development of personnel to meet critical needs and mitigate potential resource risks in the organization
- Create a positive and rewarding workplace for a multi-cultural employee base
- Be able to effectively contribute to and communicate Company and Services organizational goals and ensure key performance indicator alignment across business segments
- Be able to effectively define market segment organizational roles and responsibilities and ensure alignment across Global services
- Drive effective cross-organizational collaboration across Sales, Product, R&D, Support, and Customer Success
- Contribute to a strong team culture in the professional services organization
- Taking on special projects to address specific needs across the business
- And other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technology or business
- 10+ years in software implementations, preferably large enterprise solution implementations
- 5+ years leadership experience managing and growing teams of 60+ people
- Deep Oil & Gas domain expertise (Upstream, Midstream, & Planning)
- Demonstrated history of successfully running a $15M+ services business with specific revenue, margin, and CSAT targets with a focus on expansion
- Comfortable providing strategic advice to senior executives on business operations and goals
- Communicates effectively with senior executives in either a sales or delivery context
- Proactively addresses customer and internal issues quickly and effectively
- Proven experience collaborating with partner networks to sell and deliver services
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively deliver presentations at all levels of the organization
- The ability to understand business goals and quickly recommend innovative yet pragmatic approaches to achieve them
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities/projects
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers in a team-oriented environment
- Effective project management and change management skills
- Strong leadership skills, driving positive and rewarding culture
- Strong people skills, capable of proactively driving solutions across organizations
- Familiar with PSA (Professional Services Automation) tools to manage and report on the business
- Proficient in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) as analysis and communication tools
- Fluent in English (written and verbal), additional languages a plus
- Ability to travel internationally up to 50%
Preferred Skills
- Experience in gas and liquids transportation and marketing preferred but not required
- Strong project management experience, preferably with agile methodologies
