Cape Town: We are recruiting for an Environmental Assessment Practitioner, that is professionally registered with EAPASA and with at least 4 years of demonstrated private sector EAP experience, ideally in the renewable energy sector.
The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, have excellent problem-solving abilities and quality control of the highest standard. They should understand and demonstrate how to manage Clients and Projects of International stature. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a deep-seated passion for our organizational culture and brand aspiration of "Greening Africa One Project at a Time".
The capacity to diligently, efficiently and effectively manage complex projects, timelines and scenarios will need to be clearly demonstrated as will an inspirational, can-do and people focused leadership ability.
Core qualifications, skills sets, and experience must include:
- Post Graduate Science degree in environmental field
- Must have successfully managed and completed (as a lead EAP) at least BA or S&EIA Application Processes
- Must be EAPSA registered
- Must be a Team player
- Critical thinking and obsessive attention to detail
- Good project management and people skills
- Exemplary work ethic and not afraid to muck in to get the job done
- Must be tough and have the ability to beat deadlines
- A competent and thorough understanding of all SEMA's and associated regulations
- A solid understanding of the renewable energy sector, challenges and opportunities
The position is in-house, and Cape Town based and may include travel across Africa.
