Vestas Global Procurement is an award-winning best in class Procurement function within the world's leading OEM for sustainable and renewable energy solutions. We are overall responsible for all Procurement activities within Vestas, including leading global and cross-functional teams, developing and implementing commodity strategies across modules, creating and capturing end-to-end value, supplier relationship management and supplier account management, performance metrics monitoring and development.
You will join an experienced team with a high level of interaction within the value chain. You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels to understand business requirements and secure execution of commodity strategies toward suppliers ensuring a sustainable, scalable, and high performing supply base.
In this role, you will contribute to the development and delivery of a global portfolio of onshore and offshore wind infrastructure projects, from supply and installation only to full turnkey projects. With a scope to procure CAPEX solutions for both internal and external manufacturers for more than € 200m annual.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for global procurement of CAPEX defined as equipment for production of Wind Turbines
- Develop and lead the cross-functional commodity team(s) securing alignment with stakeholders
- Take supplier relationship management to the next level, unlocking full value chain optimization opportunities and all cost-out levers through supplier and partner engagement and collaboration
- Build strong relationships and manage internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including suppliers and partners, ensuring effective strategy development and execution
- Supplier selection, qualification, negotiation and contracting and supplier relationship management, including supplier account plans, and performance management
- Procurement deliverables in new product introduction, technical transfer and contract management of NDAs, Purchase Agreements, Price Agreements, etc
- Full understanding of Commodity KPI governance and effective engagement in performance improvement to achieve targets
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in global procurement and relevant educational background bachelor's degree in e.g., Business, Engineering, Economics, Finance
- Efficient communication skills and extensive experience with stakeholder management
- Proven project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in commodity optimizations and tenders of complex nature
- Project procurement with contract drafting including legal understanding experience is beneficial
- As our corporate language is English, fluency in English is required, both verbally and in writing

Additional information
