Cost Analyst for Manufacturing Operations

Position Summary
The Product Cost Analyst will be responsible for completing techno-economic analysis that considers the impact of automated production equipment, supply chain availability/impacts, operational overhead, operational strategy and component design to validate business cases for new products and capital investments. The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of managing product cost. The role requires a robust analytical skill set and proficiency with cost management tools. Candidates should also possess the ability to address a multitude of administrative support needs promptly and professionally.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate current technology platform and develop baseline cost and forecast should-cost
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on product costing roadmap
- Assist departments with understanding cost conditions
- Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and present on findings
- Develop strategies and plans in order to achieve cost reduction targets
- Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions
- Perform other administrative and support duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required in business, marketing, communications or other related field of study
- 5+ years relevant work experience preferred
- Computer and software application skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
- Excellent follow-through
- Must be driven and self-motivated
Exempt employees are expected to work as many hours as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities. This may require they work more than eight hours a day and more than five days or 40 hours per week.
