Position Summary:
The Financial Consolidation & Reporting Specialist will be responsible for managing the financial consolidation process and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the company's financial results. This role will play a key part in streamlining consolidation procedures, maintaining accounting controls, and supporting both internal and external financial reporting requirements. Additionally, the Reporting Specialist will be responsible for statutory financial reporting under Dutch GAAP and will support external audits to ensure accurate and compliant financial records. This position also oversees the maintenance of accurate financial reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis, including ensuring compliance with SOX controls.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end periodic financial reporting with proper financial statements in Dutch and US GAAP.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare year end statutory financial report in accordance with Dutch GAAP.
- Support the monthly/quarterly financial closing and reporting activities of the Company.
- Manage the consolidation process for multiple entities, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial results.
- Implement and maintain consolidation systems to streamline the reporting process.
- Address intercompany transactions and reconciliations to guarantee proper consolidation.
- Work together with the Finance Director and SEC Reporting Manager to provide evidence to the Group's internal audit team for SOX compliance.
- Support external audits to ensure accurate and compliant financial records.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Knowledge of Dutch and EU,VAT,DTX,TP.
- Represent Plug Power in a professional manner and in all interactions.
Education And Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or equivalent certification is a plus.
- 5-7 years of experience in a finance role. (previous Big4 experience is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of US & Dutch GAAP and SOX compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in financial software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with SEC Reporting and meeting related deadlines.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively.
