In Manufacturing Test, you will be part of a Test team of highly skilled engineers. Together, we are responsible for developing production test solutions for Vestas’s production plants globally. Our aim is to provide ‘best in class’ production test technologies to ensure the highest possible quality in our final products varying from control cabinets to large power converters, generators, power trains, HUB’s and full assembled nacelles.

For this position we look for an Electrical Engineer or Marine Engineer with knowledge of electrical design and thorough practical understanding of electrical systems.
Responsibilities
Manufacturing Test is engaged in projects from the early stages to verification of the final product, meaning that you will be responsible for deliverables in the full project life cycle including developing test concepts, detailed electrical design, equipment builds, installation and commissioning, final hand-over to the factory and documentation required for CE marking.
You will act as an anchor point on the electrical design and physical test equipment between the project manager, R&D departments, and the factories. Furthermore, you will be supporting and guiding external suppliers in constructing the systems you have designed.
- You will be responsible for the electrical aspect of the complete test solution
- You specify, design, and develop electrical test systems for test of turbine components
- You create risk assessments and ensure design at the highest safety level
- You support and supervise external suppliers during the construction phase
- You implement the final solutions at our production facilities to verify that they work perfectly and if necessary, you are present onsite participating in our installation activities
- You ensure quality assurance of your deliveries
- You coordinate with various sub suppliers in your projects and create final documentation according to internal and external requirements
Qualifications
- You can be newly graduated or with a few years of experience
- You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or Marine Engineering, enabling you to design and develop electrical low-voltage solutions (from 24V up to 720V)
- You have a good practical understanding and are experienced in working hands on with electrical systems, e.g., with a background as Electrician or similar
- You have thorough experience with troubleshooting on complex electrical systems
- You have experience in working with electrical diagrams and documentation
- You are well experienced in the theories behind designing and dimensioning electrical systems and able to convert electrical concepts into electrical drawings
- You have a natural interest in, and knowledge about CE marking of machinery and you have knowledge to EU standards and legislation within electrical design

Additional information
Your work location will be in Aarhus, Denmark. Some travel activities must be expected and will be up to about 40 days/year.
