Amongst those professional families, Procurement has a key role to play in order to support the AXA Group in
achieving its ambitious strategy. This opportunity would allow the candidate to have a significant impact in
shaping how the Procurement function across AXA works with third parties on ESG/Sustainability.
The primary mission of the GO Sustainable Procurement Transformation Officer will be to take responsibility for
defining and deploying the AXA Sustainable Procurement Strategy in close collaboration with local entities. This
will include an environmental dimension (defining how to work with buyers, internal stakeholders and suppliers
in order to better protect the environment and drive the reduction of our carbon footprint), a social dimension
(working on how to better drive diversity and inclusion with our suppliers) and regulatory dimensions (securing
AXA is compliant with applicable laws and directives).
The candidate will work closely with entity CPOs, the Group Sustainability, Digital Sustainability, Legal and Risk
teams, Public affairs and the Group Procurement team (onshore and offshore). The role will require a high level
of energy, appetite for setting up new initiatives as well as “influencing” skills and “drive” as continuously
interacting with various teams or stakeholders over which he/she has no formal authority in multiple countries.
In particular, he/she will be responsible to:
Strategy
• Work closely with group stakeholders and Chief Procurement Officers across the Group to define CSR
initiatives for procurement that contribute to the CSR strategy of AXA
• Drive the implementation of the Procurement CSR plan including key CSR initiatives across the Group (e.g.
Decarbonation (incl. measure of scope 3 and tracking of progress, embed diversity & inclusion better in
Procurement practices)
• Work with key stakeholders across the business to build a network that supports the delivery of the Responsible
Procurement strategy
Change Management
• Develop relationships with third-party supply chain to ensure commitment and buy-in to delivering the
Sustainable Procurement strategy
• Drive change across the organization in order to ensure sustainable procurement practices are embedded in
decision processes

Train the procurement professionals
• Train different actors across the group on necessary practices for CSR in Procurement
• Work closely with entities to raise awareness and deploy initiatives locally in a pragmatic manner
• Identify and operate key reduction levers, as well as very concrete approaches and tools for buyers so that
they can embed sustainable procurement practices in their day to day activities
Compliance & reporting / Progress tracking
• Maintain a thorough understanding of corporate sustainability requirements and governance which could
impact AXA and its third-party supply chain for general expenses and IT
• Secure compliance to relevant directives
• identify and implement relevant reporting tools with our different stakeholders
• Provide continued insight, information, and metrics on actions associated with the Sustainable Procurement
Strategy to key stakeholders and senior management
