Weitsman Recycling - Upstate Shredding is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bi-lingual HR Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish and will support the Human Resources department in delivering employee services, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and employee relations across all levels of the company. Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations: Act as the primary liaison for Spanish-speaking employees, addressing concerns, mediating conflicts, and facilitating open communication between staff and management to promote a positive work environment and foster cultural sensitivity within the workforce.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all HR practices, including employee documentation, labor compliance, and workplace policies, are accurately translated and communicated in both English and Spanish to maintain regulatory compliance and employee understanding, minimizing the risk of legal or compliance issues.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, create targeted recruitment strategies, screen applicants, and conduct interviews in both English and Spanish, ensuring a smooth and inclusive onboarding experience for new hires across all company departments.
- Training & Development: Collaborate with department heads to design and deliver bilingual training programs, including safety procedures, company policies, and leadership development, ensuring that Spanish-speaking employees receive the same opportunities for growth and advancement as their English-speaking counterparts.
- Administrative Support: Maintain up-to-date and secure HRIS records, payroll entries, and benefit administration, ensuring accurate data management while also providing timely assistance to employees with questions or issues regarding timekeeping, pay, or benefits in both English and Spanish.
Qualifications:
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required.
- Education & Experience: Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a bilingual role. Knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and employee relations.
